Job Description


Coordinates and follows up on activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives. You will proactively drive actions to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality. You will work cross-functionally to identify causes of potential product/process failures and drive corrective and preventative actions internally and/or with suppliers as needed. Using sound audit techniques and statistical tools, identify high leverage continuous improvement projects to elevate the company Quality delivery to our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Capture internal quality performance data and provide linkage to process owners to drive improvement
  • Prepare, review, and analyze internal quality reports/data to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure timely resolution of failures, corrective and preventative actions
  • Perform Internal Process Audits and develop quality plans and other process control procedures to ensure processes, work in progress and finished goods meet the specified quality standards
  • Analyze product specifications and manufacturing processes/procedures to determine best practices to meet or exceed our quality and ISO standards
  • Lead continuous improvement activities (CIP, 5S, Kaizen) and root cause analysis/corrective actions to become Best-in Class
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation and ensure that the ISO quality system is effectively established, implemented and maintained
  • Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
  • Read and interpret product drawings and internal/customer specifications to ensure quality requirements are being met.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions
  • Six Sigma/Lean training, green belt a plus
