Job Description:

Be part of an emerging company in the IoT space. As a Technical Support Engineer at Vypin, you're working towards becoming a power user on proprietary software and serve as internal and external support and trainer. You are the one who will be key in developing customer and technical support tools, standards and procedures to be used throughout the company. You are the go to problem-solver for field trouble-shooting and the lead on technical implementations. You are prepared to hire and develop a team as the business grows. Position can be located in either Chicago or Atlanta and will be working remotely to start. Key responsibilities:Plan, organize, direct, manage, and evaluate the customer service activities and budget of Vypin's customer service and technical support departmentWork closely with teams to develop an understanding of how to properly use and troubleshoot the entire product solution and train staff on new products and product updates.Responsible for assuring users are provided efficient and timely first, second, and third level (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3) support.Responsible for finding training and managing third-party firms for installing and implementing Vypin's solutions.Create and maintain knowledge-base articles on Vypin's website in line with frequently asked questions related to product support. You need the following:We prefer a college degree in engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical support3+ years of experience supporting workstations in a large LAN and WAN environment.Working experience in various IoT (Internet of Things) technologies including Mobility, Java/.NET middleware, M2M, Cloud and Big Data. If no IoT experience, show us you are a good backend developer.Hardware/Software troubleshooting: including PC's, laptops, and printersHall of fame communicator who handles ambiguity well.
