Job Description:

What does Blue Medora look for in a Software Support Engineer? Blue Medora Software Support Engineers are an active part of the Blue Medora Team. They are relied on not only as external subject-matter experts but also internal experts on the products that are made and used by the company. The following items describe some of the knowledge and skills we look for in a Software Support Engineer. Duties Include: Provide Level 2 support to Blue Medora customers Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues Coordinating with Sales and Technical teams to troubleshoot issues Provide the customer with an excellent experience at all times Write knowledge base articles for our Customer Support Portal Preferred knowledge and skills: Ability to learn and adapt Attention to detail Ability to solve problems Strong interpersonal skills Experience with virtualization software and technologies, such as VMware Experience with APM platforms, such as VMware vRealize Operations, Oracle Enterprise Manager, New Relic, or IBM Tivoli Experience using a variety of Linux, Windows and Unix operating systems, some examples include: AIX, Red Hat, Windows (all currently supported versions), Solaris, etc. Basic understanding of a variety of operating systems Experience with the following technologies will also be beneficial to this position: VMware vRealize Operations Manager VMware Administration SAP Administration and Implementation Oracle Enterprise Manager IBM SmartCloud Monitoring Working knowledge of programming languages. Including the understanding of logic and syntax Shell scripting knowledge Some Technical Writing Proficiency Education / Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
