Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:QuEST is seeking an individual to join our Product Engineering team for our customer in Dearborn Michigan Automotive COE. The individual will be working as Interior Trim Engineering support where he/ she will be responsible for design & release of I/P & Console on current production programs. Job Responsibilities:* Design and Release of Interior Trim components (I/P and Console, Door Trim, Hard Trim, Pillar Trim , Qtr Trim, etc) * Interact with vehicle attribute teams through target setting and feasibility * Lead development and execution of product verification plans, engineering sign-off * Lead CAD and Build to Print suppliers through design and execution * Ensure system meets all FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) and Ford Corporate Requirements * Lead and/or support vehicle launch activities * Develop engineering standards for component design Preferred Qualifications:* Interior Trim design and release experience * Experience with Ford systems (WERS, AIMS, etc) * Experience in working with vehicle attribute teams * Some training in problem solving disciplines like 6 sigma * Prototype build and execution experience * Experience in CAD type computer work * Ability to read and interpret drawings * Familiarity with as many as possible of the following: Engineering Standards, Teamcenter Manufacturing and assembly process at assembly plants. Engineering analyses/ documentation (including 8D, 6-Panel, FMEA).
