RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Implementing optimum production methods to achieve quality, cost,
and speed objectives;
* Collaborating with engineering, leadership, and production team
members to achieve desired outcomes for manufacturability and safety;
* Conducting direct labor studies and establishing standards on
operations, set up and work station layout;
* Defining tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing process;
* Analyzing and evaluating manufacturing methods and standards;
* Providing solutions to problems that adversely affect operator
safety, quality, productivity, and cost;
* Identifying areas of unnecessary costs;
* Assisting in the development and troubleshooting of manufacturing
equipment.


EDUCATION: 4-year degree is required in a technical discipline;
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* 2+ years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing
environment, will also consider a strong internship experience;
* Experience with line balance, sequence and mix model for a
progressive assembly line;
* Knowledge and understanding of tact time and factors that play
into total station time - Value Added vs. Unvalue Added;
* Has applied Lean methods to the manufacturing floor;
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, leadership
and Project Management skills; AutoCad, Microsoft Word and Excel.
