We currently have 3 contract positions open for Electrical Maintenance Technicians. These are 8-12 week contracts and offer amazing training for individuals new to the industry and great pay to those with 3-5 years of experience. We are also considering retired individuals that are looking to get back into a maintenance role for a year or so.
Our client is located in North County and is open for 3 shifts. We will offer a 2-3 week training program to start (less if you already have industry experience) that is during our first shift from 7am-3pm.
2 years of Mechanical (Technical) school
or 3-5 years of on the job training
Using a micrometer, ruler or other physical measuring instrument
Using precision and non precision tools or instruments
Using hand-held power machinery
Referring to technical manuals
Troubleshoot industrial process equipment such as printing presses, extrusion laminators & converting machines
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pnuematic systems
Replace bearings and repair worn jounals by building up and using a lathe to turn down to proper size
Replace/repair belt, gears, gear boxes, sheaves, blowers, choppers, pumps, etc.
Reading meters, dials or calibrated scales
Reading a complex diagram
Some computer skills
Able to work alone or work closely with a group or team
Operate a forklift
Supply own hand tools
Supply own hand tools and steel toed boots.
The ideal candidate will be schooled in Control Automation and have 3-5 years of on the job experience in an industrial production environment (preferred, but not required).
There are 3 shifts available:
7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and 11:00 PM- 7:00 AM
