We are currently seeking a highly skilled sales engineer and solutions architect with the drive and determination to provide quality pre-sales technical support to our sales organization. The Sales Engineer (SE) interacts with clients and supports sales reps and sales management. The SE will strategize and execute on opportunities, including meeting with and gathering technical background and requirements from customers and prospects, creating technical proposals and customized solutions to our client needs. The SE is also responsible for training sales reps on network technology and products.
This position reports to our Sales Manager. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter and creative problem-solver and has a proven track record of communicating and working well with others in a team environment.

Job duties include utilizing our quoting, network assessment and proposal development and solution scoping processes and solutions; along with other sales and engineering-specific tools and technologies, to deliver pre- and post-sales support services and collaborate and work with other staff and vendor support resources.
Overall relationship management and the ability to engage with prospects and customers to respond to complex IT requirements and accelerate sales velocity through effective solution scoping and design are desired. Other requirements include developing and maintaining relationships with customer and vendor contacts.
Minimum Skills Required:
A minimum three years' experience as an accomplished sales engineer or solutions architect, supporting pre- and post-sales activities for IT solutions sales to SMB and Enterprise customers

Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

This Position Entails:
Consulting with clients in order to determine their needs and designing encompassing IT solution proposals for them that would include servers, workstations, wireless and wired data networks, cloud, backup/BDR and VoIP solutions
Providing technical sales support to both internal sales reps and external customers
Attending sales and customer calls, over the phone and in-person
Developing technical responses and strategy for RFIs and RFPs
Administering technical training and guidance to sales reps and management as needed
Providing customer advocacy for all post-sale implementation issues until resolved
Ensuring correct technical content of all customer orders
Designing customer technical solutions with engineering diagrams
Understanding and conveying the technical advantages of our services
Superior proposal authoring and written communication skills and the ability to define winning proposal strategies
Accurately documenting all activities conducted in our ConnectWise PSA solution
Other duties as assigned by management
