Responsibilities This position is responsible to the Finance and Advancement Director to fulfill the mission, vision, and commitments of HoneyRock through the management of food service and the camp store/coffee shop. On-site housing is an option depending on family size and available space. This is a permanent, full-time position located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. This is a level 5 role within the HoneyRock Leadership Progression. Duties 1. Insure that all guests, program participants and staff are welcomed and cared for through management of the food service department: Provide healthy, safe, appetizing foods while complying with all laws and regulations. Plan and execute the feeding of all camp constituents accommodating a diverse palate and special dietary needs. Manage food service budget and equipment in fiscally responsible manner. Provide program appropriate and cost effective outdoor food service to wilderness trips and on-site cook-outs. Insure a clean and welcoming dining facility. 2. Supervise and ensure development of the professional staff, seasonal staff, students and campers as they serve in food and retail services: Fulfill the mission of HoneyRock through the leadership progression, internships, and various programs as participants serve in food and retail service as part of their experience at HoneyRock. Foster culture of developmental coaching and vocational discipleship through growth producing experiences and training as appropriate. Recruit, supervise, train and develop professional cooks and up to 20 seasonal staff. 3. Supervise a profitable camp store: Provide leadership and coordination to the camp/coffee store through supervision of seasonal staff. 4. Customer Relations: Exceed the customer?s expectation in all areas of hospitality receiving consistently high ratings on customer evaluations. Provide leadership to ?a culture of care and hospitality? at HoneyRock through direct supervision of these key areas and through efforts with the professional staff. 5. Administrative planning and coordination: Provide administrative planning and support as a member of the core professional staff of HoneyRock by participating in HoneyRock strategic planning, staff retreats, ministry assessment, and task forces as requested. 6. Resource: Serve as a resource for any additional functions. 7. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1. Bachelor or equivalent culinary degree. 2. Minimum of 4 years in the food service/hospitality industry. 3. Demonstrated management and organizational skills. 4. Ability to work with Microsoft Office and specially Excel to produce relevant reports. 5. Ability to work independently and accept supervision. 6.
