Field Service Engineer Function / Department : Technical Service Location : New Jersey, USA Reporting to : Head of Service Qualifications : Graduate / Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Mechatronics Experience : 5-8 years Industry Preference : Pharmaceutical, Automation, MachineSalary Range: Monthly base salary of 5000 USD [Plus Variable Pay+ Medical Benefits (for self and family) + 401-K A. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED 1. Installation and commissioning of various vision application in market / customer sites. ? Integration of vision systems on different makes of machine (Retrofit) ? Continuous efforts to compress installation time-lines. 2. Handling the installation and service support of track and trace systems. ? Installing customized solutions which includes mechanical, electrical and electronics components ? Another key aspect of the product is the installation of software interface. 3. Work closely with the team abroad 4. Customer Service Support - Timely, effective service support for all installation. ? Attend to technical issues at site ? Improve customer satisfaction with regular interaction ? Communicate effectively with customers ? Assist the sales personnel in managing spares requests and delivery ? Continuous efforts to reduce customer supports calls. 5. Development / maintenance at customer sites 6. Provide documentation on installation / service activity to sales, wherever required. 7. Act as a source of continuous feedback from customers to assist the organization in continuous improvement of the products and new product development process. 8. Monitor and report competitor activity at customer sites. Provide insights and points of comparison with competitors' equipment. 9. Responsible for establishing good reference for company in US market B. KEY CUSTOMERS SERVED (Internal and External) 1. All customers 2. All Sales 3. Technical Team 4. Support Function C. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED ?Functional Behavioral ? Technically competent and proficient at understanding machines. ? Good knowledge of engineering concepts ? Strong analytical skills ? Communication ? Innovation ? Problem Solving ? Corporate Etiquette ? Delivering consistent results ? Quality and service orientation Specific Notes 1. Prior experience in installing and servicing Pharma machinery will be a clear advantage. 2. Local candidates based in the East Coast. Preferred NY, NJ, California or Arizona area 3. Extensive (possibly 5 days a week) traveling is required across United States. 4. Should be ready to work / travel on the weekends as and when require due to nature of the work and based on customer requirements.
