Job Description:

Field Service Engineer A leader in providing industrial automation and process integration services in the Dayton area is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer. In this position, you will have exposure to a variety of industries including Automotive, Appliance, Aerospace, Construction, Medical and Industrial Fluid & Gas Management. You will learn the skills needed to provide excellent customer service while installing, calibrating and repairing industrial equipment. As a Field Service Engineer you will have the opportunity to interact with the customer to understand a projects scope of work and deliverables. You will be part of projects in the field for both domestic and international customers. If working successfully in a matrix structure that is focused strongly on customer service, personnel growth and career advancement, this is the career for you! SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate as required in installation, debug, and customer training of mechanical, electrical and control systems along with modification to industrial automated equipment. Perform or supervise service on selected mechanical, electrical, and control systems in both emergency and regularly scheduled preventive maintenance service calls.Promote excellent service through development of customer relationships that enable you to identify markets, applications, and service/equipment opportunities. This would include the development of quotations for service products and provide equipment leads to sales account managers as well as providing input and assistance in developing service-marketing tools.Ensure the equipment is installed properly and safely in accordance with customer, company, industry, and governmental standards.Perform assigned duties and conduct oneself in a professional manner in accordance with company and customer required safety practices and procedures. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A BS or in Electrical Engineering or Associated Degree of Applied Science degree in electrical engineering with (5) years' experience in technical support of automated industrial equipment and corresponding experience with mechanical, electrical and PLC controls is essential.Strong selling and customer relationship skills required.Ability to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.PLC programming experience with Rockwell Control Logix, GE, Mitsubishi or OmronMust have or will gain networking experience including - Ethernet/IP, Control Net, and Device Net.Experience in communicating and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibly in a manufacturing or production environment.Willingness to work beyond core business hours. If necessary to minimize business interruption during planned or unplanned system modification, PM and equipment down situations.Investigate and analyze industrial equipment problems, define issues and develop solutions. Help customers with securing spare parts for jobs.Follow OSHA regulation and EPA rules in an industrial sitting.Industrial equipment rebuilds and repair is essentialTravel 75% including weekends.
