Job Description
The Job Window has an opening for a Field Sales Engineer on behalf of our client, one of the area's fastest growing and most dynamic companies. Our client seeks the best in the industry to join their prosperous team. Currently, our client's field sales / marketing division & consumer sales promotion unit is searching for a Field Sales Engineer in the Oceanside and surrounding area.

Geography: State of California - Oceanside and surrounding area)
This position is main office based with frequent travel within the territory.

Overview: The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for generating new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts by working primarily with the general public as well as with our client's sales team to assist in the execution and success of field campaigns and sales efforts during the new product introduction phase of each project.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strong understanding of featured client products and how they are used by consumers
  • Influence consumer purchasing patterns and decisions by specifying benefits of featured client products through regular scheduled visits and canvassing efforts.
  • Perform product education and communication sessions with consumers on the clients behalf with the goal of increasing new and repeat business and more so building consumer relationships with each brand
  • Research and present reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing clients products vs. competition
  • Develop and maintain sales activity & records

  • Impeccable communication skills - both spoken and written - mandatory
  • Able to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, and meet difficult deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills in front of medium to large sized groups
  • High energy, out-going, and goal-oriented; eager to meet and exceed goals and targets
  • Self-starter with ability to manage own schedule (minimal supervision required)
  • Sales experience a plus
