Job Description

We are seeking a Field Engineer / Surveyor to become an integral part of our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assists Manager with performing a variety of layout and surveying activities such as:

Measuring correct distances per drawings

Marking and labeling survey points

Making field notes and sketches for each field line and grade shot taken

Preparing drawings, isometrics, etc.

Checking/verifying related calculations

  • Adheres to all company and OSHA safety rules, regulations and guidelines
  • Works as an effective leader, coach and mentor to the building group/team
  • Schedules and reports all required maintenance for equipment
  • Recommends potential equipment purchases
  • Maintains proper usage, maintenance and storage of all surveying equipment and technologies
  • Carries out assigned work tasks and processes
  • Analyzes and interprets blueprints, shop drawings, and various construction documents
  • Measures and calculates accurately and precisely
  • Practices strong problem-solving, decision making and analytical trouble-shooting at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience with High School Diploma --Required
  • AAS or BS Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering --Preferred
  • Five years of general construction related work experience--Preferred
  • Work experience in construction --Required
  • Valid Driver's license
