Summary Statement: Applies fundamental knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices to assist in planning or modifying facilities, machines, equipment, or processes used in processing or manufacturing products. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Completes assignments in a timely manner by scheduling work assignments independently, and providing or approving written status reports for both internal and external distribution. Prepares all maintenance work orders and schedules preventative equipment maintenance while maintaining the established budget and schedule guidelines. Provides Engineering estimates for facilities modifications and equipment purchases. Manages safety, environmental, and security practices for compliance with corporate, state, and federal guidelines. Reviews and approves of schedules and budgets for fiscal and manpower planning. Assigns available maintenance resources to address and resolve specific production related problems or tasks. Supports internal Statistical Process Control (SPC) teams by analyzing data trends or structuring experiments to identify key elements that effect the performance or quality of the process. Communicates technical requirements to our internal and external customers. Structures and organizes technical training for the advancement of employees within the division. Maintains required engineering data entries to the management information system. Special projects and duties as required by Division or Corporate Management. Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities: This position may provide administrative and technical leadership over other Stakeholders in the department. Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. Bachelor's level degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and zero (0) to two (2) or more years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Level of Supervision Required Works under general direction. Receives guidance as to results expected and to resolve complex problems. Exercises latitude in determining activities and approaches within moderate to wide parameters. Communication and Special Skills: Communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups. Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and operate standard office equipment. Special Training and Behavioral Competencies The following training requirements and competencies must be met before acceding to this job. ? Safety training applicable to the job and work area. ? Complete the required NORDAM University training for all Stakeholders. ? Comply with The NORDAM Group Leadership Competencies for Stakeholders. ? Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the stakeholder is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The Stakeholder is occasionally required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Stakeholder must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to travel between facilities and operate standard office equipment. Work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week as required. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs. While performing the duties of this job, the stakeholder is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Able to work as a team member, highly organized, work well under stress and handle multiple priorities.
