Job Description

Industry leader in consumables packaging and product treatments processing has immediate need for Equipment Maintenance Engineer. Will be responsible for the safe and timely maintenance, repair or replacement of production equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production efficiency, quantity and quality; coordinate, organize, plan and schedule equipment preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance as well as equipment projects including improvements; implements time procedures to avoid production or project delays; assist in the purchase of capital equipment; collaborate with other departments; supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. Corrective and Preventative Maintenance of all production equipment, Corrective Actions related to Equipment and Maintenance Dept. functions. Responsible for maintaining the equipment and processes in accordance with ISO 22000:2005 and PAS 223:2011 regulations. Develop, schedule, coordinate and maintain Preventative Maintenance Program and Corrective Maintenance Program. Coordinate Food Safety Preventative Maintenance Program audits and inspections Collects and reports departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to management. Handles requests for proposals/quotes (RFP/Q); recommend spares (type, quantity, and source); researches suitable substitutes when parts become obsolete; maintains proper inventory levels for maintenance and facilities. Utilizes internal and external resources appropriately to facilitate cost effective and timely repairs and maintenance related to Production Equipment.

Requires 5 plus years' experience in production equipment maintenance, food processing industry preferred. Communication skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical. Ability to write correspondence. Working knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, ISO/PAS, and HACCP Programs and concepts, principles and practice. Computer skills: Knowledge of Microsoft word processing , Excel, e-mail programs.
