Entry Level - RF/Optical Test Engineer

Job Description
  • Tests and validates filter response performance for various LcWDM & DWDM filters.
  • These are optical fiber filters so some experience in handling fiber would be a plus but we can train.
  • Performs station calibration routines in order to establish the integrity of the test set-up. This involves some rudimentary knowledge of RF and Optics but again, we can train.
  • Be able to discern when problems arise and seek assistance from technical sources.
  • Will be working a late night shift with one other employee. Must be dependable and reliable.

Required Skills (degrees, certifications, licenses etc.)

  • Technical Trades School or equivelent
  • Experience in working with Optical and RF devices
  • Familiarity and working knowledge with Optical and RF Power Meters, Optical wavelength meters, RF Spectrum Analyzers and others
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Nice to Have Skills

  • 1-2 years of analog RF test experience
  • Soft Skills (related to personality & culture fit w/ your dept/team) Self-motivated and independent worker
