SUMMARY:

The ____________ office for Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a dynamic engineer to be an integral part of the team and work under the guidance of the Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer. The successful candidate will have a background in __________________________ and have the opportunity to work on ____________________ projects. There will also be opportunity for travel and field work up to _____% of the time.

Continuing development and participation with technical committees will be encouraged and supported.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Responsible for monitoring contractor conformance to quality, performance, and specifications for assigned construction activities.

* Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

* Assists in the completion of reports.

* Keeps Resident Engineer informed of work load and any daily activities.

* Be able to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.

* Be active in Technical societies such as; ACEC.

* Knows how to perform his/her duties safely.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university, plus appropriate continuing education

* A minimum of 4 years of construction management experience

* Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required for this role

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract documents and construction plans. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
