Perform engineering for pipelines and pipeline facilities from conceptual design to final design. Determine pipe size and material based upon design requirements. Use specialty software to model and perform engineering analysis. Analyze engineering records to determine Code specific compliance. Work within a team environment to assist drafters, designers, technicians and project managers to deliver complete engineering packages. Perform field work as required for corrosion, integrity, pipeline construction and logistics. Perform technical writing to prepare reports. Support RealTime As Built and RealTime TVC programs. Travel will be required to support projects.
Design piping systems, model pipe stresses, and determine hydrostatic testing requirements.
Design cathodic protection systems, determine total current requirement, layout ground beds.
Prepare bills of material, prepare schedules.
Prepare construction estimates, including labor, material and design time.
Become familiar with DOT Codes and technical standards.
Performs field investigations as required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited program
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Engineering and specialty engineering programs
Microsoft Office software
Computer aided drafting software, SolidWorks.
Ability to organize, track, and oversee project activities.
This position requires the use of a personal or Company vehicle on Company business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
