Description: Responsible for the preventive maintenance, monitoring, and mechanical repairs of hospital building systems, providing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning throughout hospital; also responsible for the safe operation of all other mechanical equipment. Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure & Certification:
Boiler Certification required.
Minimum 3rd Class Maryland Stationary Engineer License required.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to operate and trouble shoot, and perform pm's on high pressure steam boilers, A/C equipment, Medical Air & Vacuum Systems, Emergency Generators, Air Handler Units, Pneumatic Valves, Energy Management System, and other misc. pumps and hospital equipment.
Ability to work on Steam Valves, Domestic Water System, and Plumbing Systems, soldering, brazing, and welding.
Ability to read schematics, equipment diagrams, and blue prints.
Ability to work independently and to prioritize work assignments.
