BASIC FUNCTION - Operate, maintain, and inspect facility equipment in accordance with written, posted and industry standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains written logs of facility equipment.
Performs outcall notification in accordance with written procedures during facility incidents or emergencies.
Performs assigned work in a workmanlike manner.
Performs preventative maintenance tasks.
Performs demand and tenant work orders.
Performs special work assignments, projects and trouble calls.
Adhere to applicable codes quality levels and standard practices for all work performed.
Maintains understanding of proper operating procedures and techniques.
Follows appropriate safety regulations.
Performs regular inspections, and reports findings with recommendations to the Chief Engineer and/or the delegated leads.
Operates and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment, which supply the job site with power, heat, refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation.
Stands scheduled shift watches and works with the tools of the stationary engineer's trade.
Perform any additional duties as directed by the Chief Engineer or delegated leads within the scope of contractual and union agreements.
2 years as a Journeyman in facility engineering.
2 years central chiller plant experience.
1 year working in a critical data center or power house environment.
High School Graduate
LICENSING & REQUIREMENTS
Posses adequate license requirements for the facility.
EPA - Refrigerant Universal
Read, write and understand the English language.
Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
Working in confined spaces, heights up to 50 feet and inclement weather and temperature conditions.
