ELECTRICAL PLC ENGINEER

Manufacturer is seeking an Electrical PLC Engineer to join their
engineering team. The Electrical PLC Engineer will report to the
Electrical Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the
following tasks:

* Troubleshooting PLCs, including developing logic programs,
troubleshooting and modifying existing programs and designing control
systems using PLC as the main control component
* Identifying, developing and performing machine preventative
maintenance
* Supporting manufacturing and assisting with electrical
troubleshooting, including HMIs, circuits, relays, motor starters, and
drives
* Operating automation programming software used in developing and
maintaining automation control systems
* Utilizing AutoCAD for panel layout, conduit system design and
engineering documentation
* Maintaining HMI applications
* Completing systems integration of new and existing equipment
* Adding sensors as needed
* Spending up to 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor
troubleshooting electrical issues and mechanical issues
* Partnering with plant team to meet engineering goals and improve
production KPIs
* Other tasks assigned by the Electrical Engineering Manager

Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all
levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, be willing to
be on call, complete projects in a timely manner and enjoy being on
the manufacturing floor up to 50% of the day. Competitive benefits

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ELECTRICAL PLC ENGINEER:
1. A minimum of an associate's degree in a technical field
2. A minimum of 3 years of similar electrical engineering work
experience
3. PLC troubleshooting
4. General working knowledge of drive systems, closed loop drives
systems highly preferred
5. Hands on industrial electrical troubleshooting
6. AutoCAD related to laying out control panels
7. Working knowledge of HMI applications
8. Computer user, including updating software, programming and PC
operation and installation
9. Working knowledge of temperature controls
10. Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets and
documentation

SKILLS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
1. Vision systems
2. Preventative maintenance programs
3. Power distribution
4. Maintenance background
5. Supervision experience
