BOSTIK is hiring! We are currently looking for a Developing Engineer for our Temecula location. The Developing Engineer will be expected to conduct engineering calculations accurately in developing designs of new or improved processes. They will also be responsible for accurate reporting of the results of activities. We seek people who want to be part of a growing, world-class organization. Job Activities:Plant operational supportProcess automation supportData acquisition and analysisPreparation of drawings; such as flow sheets, PIDs, etc.Prepare heat and material balancesChemical engineering calculationsParticipate in Process Hazard ReviewsSupport development of operating manuals, process documents, etcEquipment specificationEquipment designPlant problem resolutionExecute small projects and programsParticipate in execution of pilot programsExpected to conduct engineering calculations accurately in developing designs of new or improved processes. Responsible for accurate reporting of the results of activities.May function in variety of rules, including but not limited to: Production Engineer, Process Engineer, Technology Engineer, Project Engineer, Pilot Plant Engineer and Safety Engineer. Job Dimensions: Performs normally closely supervised engineering work dealing with the process operations, process technology, capital projects, process improvement, process automation and testing new equipment concepts. Supports the development of solutions for a variety of technical challenges. Context and Environment: Works under close supervision and mentorship. Receives specific direction and detailed instructions concerning the required tasks and results expected, including timing constraints and priorities. Expected to follow normal engineering practices and guidelines; including consideration of health, safety environment. Work is reviewed during progress and upon completion for accuracy in methodology and clarity. Job Qualifications: Incumbent is well versed in the principles and theories of the professional field associated with chemical engineering. An undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, or the ability to demonstrate the equivalent theoretical knowledge, is required for this position. This position is typically a recent chemical engineering graduate with an entry at grade 10B. Key skills and experience required for this position include:Able to conduct basic studies and process analysis, such as distillation, heat transfer, reactor design, thermodynamics, etc. Must have basic computer skills, including use of spreadsheet and word processing software. Use of modeling software is beneficial.Able to read and develop technical drawings, e.g. flow diagramsAble to write clear and concise reportsAware of safety regulations and environmental issuesInterpersonal skillsTeam playerAble to organize tasks and informationAble to take direction from supervisor and team leadersPersistent, analytical thought, communication and listeningSelf motivated and driven
