* Travel is approximately 25% of the time between: Hunt Valley, MD / Poway, CA / Huntsville, AL
* Certifications are still very important (CISSP is preferred)
* Adaptability is key as requirements change frequently
* Must be comfortable working with internal and external customers
The Cyber Security Engineer IV will lead the efforts of the Cyber Security team to support the certification and accreditation of products in accordance with DoD DIACAP, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other security-related requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
> Interface with customers (Internal and External) directly and effectively represent the company in a way that instills confidence in our ability to meet and surpass customer expectations.
> Serve as Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) at program level meetings and communicate best security practices in an effective and clear manner to ensure compliance of our products.
> Provide support at Army Interoperability Certification (AIC), ACA/SCA, FISMA and POA&M events.
> Identify and lead Cyber Security improvement initiatives for process improvement and educational efforts (within our group and the company).
> Serve as SME for BOE/SOW estimates.
> Serve as mentor/resource to lower level Cyber Engineers on security processes and company business processes.
> Serve as counsel for new product development (similar to business partner).
> Oversees and/or develops complex engineering work which may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting technical requirements, numerous complex interfaces, and difficult coordination requirements.
> Plans and directs projects or major phases of design projects and coordinates the efforts of the technical support staff.
> Role extends expectations well beyond individual contribution to include involvement as a mid-tier technical leader and/or technical expert.
> Oversees and directs complex engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence, potentially involving applications of advanced engineering/scientific theory.
> Work typically requires in-depth and broad-based engineering knowledge across a range of engineering and supporting technical disciplines, including a basic understanding of the roles of non-engineering functions.
> May supervise or coordinate the work of engineers, other professionals, technicians and others who assist in specific assignments.
> Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or Cyber Security with 10+ years related experience
> High level understanding of operating system security settings and policies (Windows and/or RedHat)
> Experience with OS Configuration (Windows and/or RedHat), virtual environments or scripting languages is preferred
> Able to work in team environments and independently
> Excellent communication skills
> Ability to write procedures and other informative correspondence
> Ability to read, analyze and interpret security regulations
> Good analytical & problem solving skills to troubleshoot & resolve network/operating system security issues
