Contract position for 24 months for a Construction Field Engineer to review MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) and HVAC systems for a retail and entertainment complex project.
Conduct Mechanical Building Systems site reviews and prepare reports.
Review construction documents and change notices prior to construction.
Serve as company liaison during construction by attends regular site meetings to address construction or design issues and continuously interfacing with the company's design team.
Maintain shop drawing log showing to expedite the approval process with company's team preventing delays.
Monitor construction progress and notes non-conformities in design, Building Code and materials as per contract documents.
Respond to RFI's, issues site instructions and change notices in a timely manner.
Review monthly progress draws submitted by contractors and issue certificated of payment to client.

BS Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related degree
Minimum 10 years construction industry experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical building systems.
Working knowledge of NJ and US building codes.
Experience with interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, computer skills, organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and / or Revit is strongly preferred.
