Job Description:

Opening is for an individual who can work with a team that is developing physics based fluid dynamic and combustion simulations of liquid propellant explosions. Individual will also be tasked with using debris transport models that simulate the acceleration and propagation of debris. Individual will develop Computational Fluid Dynamics models and will use Matlab to perform simulations. The Individual must be capable of communicating with other engineering disciplines the aspects of the problem and working with systems engineering teams to ensure requirements and designs are consistent with the knowledge gained from the simulations. The team conducts small scale tests to provide data for validating models and the individual will be expected to work on occasion with the test team. The individual must be able to develop these simulations with little or no oversight and therefore must be a self-starter. Communications skills are important to ensuring proper coordination with the team. A security clearance may be required in the future. Expect application to be Master or PHD level.
