Job Description

Civil Engineer II

Subdivision Improvement Division

(Waterford, MI)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks
  • Attend meeting for preliminary plan discussion
  • Review and recommend approval of plans submitted with subdivision applications for underground utility installation, construction by other governmental units, and plan for all work conducted
  • Review associated drainage
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings
  • Work closely with other agency divisions and department
  • Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in civil engineering
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid Driver's License
