A well-respected, global manufacturer near Longview, TX is looking for
a CERAMIC PROCESS ENGINEER to support the development, testing,
production and improvement of new and existing ceramic products.
This is a hands-on position and the Ceramic Process Engineer will
support production by troubleshooting and improving current and new
products and processes through production trials, supplier
development, laboratory evaluation and equipment upgrades.
Experience with mixing, drying, pressing, extrusion, periodic kilns,
tunnel kilns and ceramic testing is needed. A BS degree in
Engineering from an accredited university is required, along with at
least 3 years of experience in a busy ceramic or refractory
manufacturing environment. Knowledge and experience with Lean
Manufacturing, Six Sigma and statistical analysis is strongly
preferred. The Ceramic Process Engineer will direct and sometimes
supervise one or more Lab Technicians. Travel is negligible, but
occasional trips to visit customers and other facilities may be
required. The company offers excellent benefits, including paid
relocation from anywhere in the United States. This position does
not qualify for Visa sponsorship, so US citizenship or a Green Card is
required.
