Performs routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, replacement and installation of centrifugal chillers and refrigeration equipment, components and supporting equipment located in the Central Plant Buildings and in other outlying facilities on campus. May be called upon to assist other maintenance personnel in completion of work tasks including, but not limited to, Central Plant Repairers, Central Plant Operators, Water treatment Specialists, Electricians, and Plumbers, etc. Reads, understands and interprets blueprints, drawings, floor plans, schedules and manufacturers operating and/or maintenance specifications as they related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, millwright and machinist work, special equipment, and building structures and finishes.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $22.79 - $23.69 - $26.50 (Commensurate with experience qualifications)

Graduate from an accredited Vocational School in HVAC and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Currently certified with a Section 608 Technician Type I, II, or III Certification from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) required.

Work Schedule: Monday -Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30p.m.
