Automotive Research Analyst Market & Competitor Intelligence
.Works in Honda R&D's Advanced Product Planning group supporting Market & Competitor Intelligence functions. Collaborates with management and staff in planning future models/ lineup for Honda and Acura brands.
.Activities include acquiring, analyzing and synthesizing data/ information into concise, yet persuasive reports. Emphasis on the ability to make sense of the data/ information - provide 'so, what?' analysis with actionable recommendations are essential.
.Will use qualitative findings and statistical analysis/modeling to identify competitor performance, market trends and opportunities. May oversee studies & reports of various size/scope/complexity, including designing, executing and analyzing data and making actionable recommendations.
.Bachelor's degree in related field with 3+ years work experience in product planning/management, market research/ consumer behavior, advertising, new product development or similar plus familiarity with automotive industry.
.Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) a plus. Engineering background not required.
.Strong communication, organizational, persuasive presentation/ reporting and time management skills needed. Strong MS Office skills.
.Ability to work overtime and travel if required
