Job Description

SUMMARY:

Perform electrical controls duties in the Automation Systems Group under direction and supervision of Sr. Controls engineer and /or staff engineer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Write controls specification defining the functional scope and I/O requirements.
  • Develop electrical schematic in AutoCAD.
  • Assist in debugging robot programs.
  • Program and debug PLC programs while under experienced supervision.
  • Support integration on the company floor and customer's facility.
  • Write customer documentation.
  • Perform/support customer training.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline or the equivalent relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical prints.
  • Must have some electrical wiring and debug experience.
  • PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)
  • Willing to work overtime to meet special deadlines in response to customer requirements.
  • Scheduling can be 7 days per week on occasion.
  • 30% or more travel is often required.
