Job Description

Aerospace Air Systems Engineer (ECS) - Position located in Seattle, WA

Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States, Canada or Mexico

The strategic purpose of the Test and Evaluation (T&E) Support Unit is to provide comprehensive, full-service aerospace flight-testing and evaluation services. The Test and Evaluation Support Unit provides four areas of expertise: Test Planning, Instrumentation, Ground Operations and Flight Operations. This position is responsible for maintenance support of all flight operations

The ideal candidate will possess aircraft certification experience with a specialty in environmental control systems.


Responsibilities of the Aerospace - Air Systems (ECS) Engineer

  • Coordinate system test and certification requirements.
  • Author flight test and ground test specifications.
  • Support flight test and ground test activities.
  • Analyze test data and evaluate system operation.
  • Prepare test reports.
  • Domestic and occasional international travel is required.

Requirements of the Aerospace - Air Systems (ECS) Engineer

  • 2-15+ years' experience with CPCS (Cabin pressurization control system), flow balancing, smoke penetration and detection, valve and control logic, failure cases, OHD (overheat detection), cabin pull-up/pull-down, hot and cold weather deployments
  • Experience with FAA Part 25 or Part 23 certification, flight and ground test planning and test conduct, and test data analysis.
  • Strong ability to analyze results, develop defensible conclusions and recommendations, and communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing (summaries, documents, reports, presentations).
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of work experience. Focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related Science.
